Donate your…
We value all donations and recognise that the types of support people can offer will differ from person to person. We want the library to be accessible to all LS6 adult residents and your donations can help your library achieve this aim.
If you are able to share a donation of stuff, time or money — below are some of the ways you can get involved…
…stuff
We will gratefully receive donations of items that are in good working order. Take a look at our donation guide, and see if your item is on our donation wish-list.

We have been amazed by our members' generosity and we now have over 900 items in the library — most of them donated! At this moment in time we are limiting the donations we take as we are reviewing our stock.
If you have one of the above items, or one that isn't on our wish-list, we may still be able to make use of it, so please drop us an e-mail at lot@buynowtls6.com.

…time
Our library is fuelled by the generosity of our willing volunteers who donate time to help LS6 become more sustainable.
…money
We are 100% volunteer-run and all financial donations are used solely on the running costs, improving the library and making it accessible to all.
How do I donate money?
There are a few ways to support us financially:
- Monthly paying membership: Sign up here. This is really helpful as it gives us financial security and helps us to budget.
- One-off donation: Click the Donate button, choose an amount and enter your card details securely.
- Standing order — set up a regular donation as a Friend of the Library:
Bank: The Cooperative Bank
Account name: Buy Nowt LS6 CIC
Sort code: 08 92 99
Account no: 67233140
You can also donate when you borrow items by cash or card payment in person during our opening hours.
How much can I donate?
We operate using a pay-as-you-feel model — you decide what you can afford. If you are financially able to, please donate what you can because our project runs from your kind donations. We have a guide to help you decide, but please note this is simply guidance.
Did you know? It costs almost £1,000 per month to run the library — the main costs being room hire, insurance, repair costs and volunteer expenses.
