Our Library of Things

Welcome to Buy Nowt LS6 Library of 'Things', a community-driven initiative that promotes borrowing over buying. Our pay-as-you-feel model allows local residents to contribute while accessing necessary items without purchasing them. Memberships are open to residents of LS6 and the neighbouring postcodes of LS2, LS3, LS4, LS5, LS7 & LS16.

We have new summer opening hours: Tuesday 6-8pm, Friday 4-6pm and Saturday 1-4pm.

Access, not ownership!

We believe that having access to the things you need is more important than ownership. This is why we created Buy Nowt LS6 — Library of Things.

We are open Tuesday 6-8pm, Friday 4-6pm and Saturday 1-4pm at Headingley Methodist Church, 1-3 Chapel Street, Leeds LS6 3HZ.

"We love the ice cream maker and use it to stock up on ice cream for the summer."
"What a brilliant resource. I have minimal storage space and little disposable income to buy lots of items when I rarely use them. I can borrow things I wouldn't usually be able to afford."
